Projects
We gathered a team of fundraisers from universities across London, including King's College, Queen Mary and Imperial, to raise money throughout Ramadan for the following causes:
Homes for families in Syria in collaboration with Human Appeal
Arts and Crafts workshop and renovation for mothers and their children in an accommodation in London
Food for vulnerable children from Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Malawi, Sudan, Pakistan and Bangladesh in collaboration with Charity Right
Community iftar for mothers and daughters in London
Construction infrastructure in Tanzania in collaboration with Orange Trust
In the end, the entire community of fundraisers and donators raised a whopping £11,514.70 over the course of 30 days!
In collaboration with KCL Arab Society, we recently ran a successful charity project called "Winter Drive 2022". The aim was to raise money in order to provide essential items to the homeless and vulnerable families in London during the winter months, supporting them in the economic crisis.
Through various fundraising events, competitions and donations from the community, we were able to raise an astonishing £15,000 as a team, thereby raising the funds needed to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Volunteers worked together to package 510 bags of essential items. 250 of these bags were specifically for the homeless, while the remaining 260 bags were for 52 vulnerable families. The bags included items such as hand warmers, kitchen essentials, non-perishable food and toiletries.
The following day, the bags were distributed directly to the families' homes and then to the homeless in Charing Cross and at the Salvation Army shelter.
There are no words to describe the sentiment and emotions experienced by the volunteers as they involved themselves in first-hand charity labour and sensed the positive impact their hard work had on those in need. The impact of Winter Drive 2022 was significant, with many homeless and vulnerable families in London benefiting from the essential items provided. The collaboration between Reformation Charity and KCL Arab Society showed the power of community and the positive impact that can be made when people come together to support a good cause. Overall, Winter Drive 2022 was a resounding success and a great example of the positive difference that can be made through charitable giving. Stay tuned to see how you can get involved in more projects like this in the future!

Bahrain's migrant workers compromise more than 34 of the country's workforce, and are involved in construction work, trade, retail and household services. They have endless work and contribute greatly to the development of the country. Unfortunately, many of them face exploitation and harsh working conditions.
Our very own Bahrain Charity Lead took off abroad and managed to distribute iftar packages to locals and migrant workers located around different areas in Bahrain. Each parcel supplied a hearty iftar meal which included traditional chicken and rice, hareesa, dates, fruits including guava and orange, and laban. An incredible achievement, especially in the month of ramadan!

At the start of March we initiated our collaboration with Himmah charity and Bounds Green foodbank and our volunteers began fundraising.
The night of 28th March we prepared packages containing a variety of food and products such as lentils, bread, hot cross buns, cereal, confectionary, coffee, dates, canned food, tissue rolls, washing up liquid and much more!
The following day in the afternoon we set up distribution at Bound Greens food bank to 180 families, where we personally handed out the packages, fresh fruit and vegetables. Additionally, each household received a SIM card with free texts, calls and data for 6 months and £15 vouchers from one of either Morrison's or Tesco's.
